Member of the County Assembly
How it's filled
- In plain words
- Elected
- Exact method
- Unicameral county legislature. Members are elected from single-member wards by simple plurality, plus special-seat members (gender top-up, youth, persons with disabilities, marginalised groups) nominated by parties in proportion to seats won, and the Speaker as ex officio member (Constitution of Kenya 2010, art. 177). The size differs by county and is not yet recorded (see ticket); the seat count here is a placeholder, not the assembly size.
