Where the facts come from
Every fact should have a source, with the date it was last checked. You'll find them at the bottom of each page and beside each fact. We prefer official sources: Statistics Canada, Elections Canada, provincial and territorial election offices, legislatures, municipalities and First Nations, and government open data.
