- Head of council. Elected by general vote across Halton Region in 2022 for the 2022-2026 term. From the term beginning 15 November 2026 the head of council is appointed by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing or, failing that, by the members of council (Municipal Act, 2001, s. 218.1), so there is no vote for this office in 2026.
