Latest legal date: the terms of the half of the House elected in July 2022 end on 2028-07-25 (Constitution Art. 46; roster of the House of Councillors). An election for those 124 seats (74 district, 50 national list) must be held within 30 days before expiry (Public Offices Election Act Art. 32). The House cannot be dissolved, so the date cannot move earlier except through the statutory window.
