- Legislate on special Faroese affairs
The Løgting has legislative authority over 'særanliggender' (special Faroese affairs); 'fællesanliggender' (common affairs) stay with Danish authorities. Defence and foreign policy lie outside Home Rule. Basis: Faroese Home Rule Act (Act no. 137 of 23 March 1948).
