  • Housing

    Measures and assistance in the field of housing. (Municipal Powers Act, CQLR c. C-47.1, s. 4(9))

  • Local economic development

    Public markets, convention or exhibition centres, tourist information offices and support to local businesses, to the extent set out in the Act. (Municipal Powers Act, CQLR c. C-47.1, ss. 4(2), 9-11)

  • Peace, order and good government

    General by-laws for peace, order, good government and the general welfare of residents. (Municipal Powers Act, CQLR c. C-47.1, s. 85)

  • Nuisances, safety and animals
